To get your clients to further feel the right muscles in the relevé and increase the difficulty use this simple spot to get them feeling the burn even quicker.
Stand next to your client when they are at the ballet barre, when they go up onto relevé place your hand on their head. Keep your hand where it is in space and tell the client to lower their heels. As they are lowering, cue the client to try to stay on your hand and lift up.
This will allow the clients to resist when lowering their heels, making the action more difficult, and taking out any dropping heels or bounce in their movement.
